serve—Financial News at St. Timothy’s
February was the mid-year mark of the St. Timothy’s fiscal year (September –August). The parish expenses were kept very low ($40,000 below budget) because of the timing of several items not coming due as early as budgeted. While that is good news, the giving income was still $13,400 short of covering the expenses. This shortage was covered by reserves but reserves will run out if spending continues to exceed income. The second half of the year expenses should be closer to budget so a projected shortage will be much greater if income does not increase. In order to increase revenue, each individual and family is asked to prayerfully consider increasing giving by $10 each week from now until September. This would be in addition to regular pledges or Sunday offering. If you prefer, a check for $260 for the last six months or $52 each month would also be accepted. For questions about your giving, contact Parish Administrator Cathy Culver (cathy@sttimothys.ws or 765-0294).
