WORSHIP

 

HOLY EUCHARIST WITH HEALING PRAYER - is held every Wednesday at noon in the Chapel to provide an opportunity for those who work to worship during their lunch hour. Join us anytime.

 

HEALING PRAYER - is now offered every Sunday at both services at the side altar during the Eucharist. Prayer Ministers are available to pray with you for healing of body, mind and spirit.

 

SHAWLS ARE AVAILABLE - at the Welcome Center in the narthex for anyone who needs extra warmth during the worship services. Help yourself but remember to return it following the service.

 

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH PRAYER BREAKFAST - meets each Friday, 7:30-8 a.m. when Winston-Salem/ Forsyth County Schools are in session. May’s location is Bojangles on Stratford Rd. Contact Bobby Steinhauser (765-0294 ext. 305).

 

SERVE

 

EPISCOPAL CHURCH WOMEN – invite all the women of St. Timothy’s to meet next Sunday, May 16 at noon in ECW Hall. St. Anne’s member Emily Herring Wilson will discuss The Life, Times & Letters of a Southern Gardener: What Elizabeth Lawrence Has to Say to Us. Contact Janet Gresh (306-5193).

 

UNITED THANK OFFERING – sponsored by the Episcopal Church Women will be accepted next Sunday, May 16 at all services. Please take one of the blue and white UTO boxes or envelopes located throughout the church to collect your donations given in recognition of God’s blessings in your life. EVERYONE WORKING WITH YOUTH AND/OR CHILDREN - at St. Timothy’s needs to participate in the Safe Church Training on Monday, May 24, 6-8 p.m. in room C-5. This training, endorsed by the Episcopal Church, equips children and youth leaders and teachers with tools and guidelines to enrich the lives of the church’s youngest parishioners. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - set for July 12-16 needs help with lots of duties varying from decorating to teaching. If you can help in any way, contact Pam Carter (765-0294) and let her know the time and where you can help.

 

THANK YOU TO ALL - who made the Episcopal Church Women’s Yard Sale a success. At final count $3,212.50 was raised to benefit projects of the ECW.

YOUTH MUSIC - practices in the Choir Room each Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. If you are in 6th-12th grades, play an instrument or sing, and would like to lead music in youth gatherings, contact Christin Barnhardt (765-0294).

THE WEDNESDAY CLASSES  - have the adult Bible studies meeting in the ECW Hall at 10:30 a.m. and in the Chapel at 6:30 p.m. The youth in 6th-12th grades meet at 6:30 p.m. in room D3 led by Bobby Steinhauser ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The children’s classes each Wednesday have the K-2nd graders meeting 5:15-6 p.m. and 3rd-5th graders meeting 6:30-7:15 p.m. both in room C2 for Way of the Child. ADULT SUNDAY BIBLE STUDIES - provides a choice of classes with a new adult class “Christian Insight” meeting at 10 a.m. in Gribbin Library (contact Amy Mann, 769-4717). Today’s discussion will continue “How I Came to St. Timothy’s” or “My Journey to the Episcopal Church”. JOIN ST. TIMOTHY’S SOCCER - in Miller Park beginning Thursday, May 27 at 6 p.m. Anyone regardless of age, gender or ability can participate. OWL’s LUNCHEON - for the Older Wiser Laity at St. Timothy’s will meet next Tuesday, May 11 at 11:30 a.m. in ECW Hall. Everyone is invited to bring a bag lunch and join the fellowship. Drinks and dessert will be provided. Contact Sandra Hamby (767-4040).

 

THE PARISH PICNIC - will be Sunday, May 23 beginning at 4 p.m. in the field next to the playground outside Gribbin building. Mark your calendar to attend this fun event with your church family. There will be something for everyone with the meal provided through Rainbow Catering and music from the children.

 

THE BIGGEST LOSER - competition will kick-off during the church picnic on Sunday, May 23. Team captains Lisette Timberlake and Dwayne McFerrin will work with their groups for 12 weeks to get everyone in shape. SUNDAY BREAKFAST - is served every Sunday, 8:30-9:30 a.m. in Drake Hall. For a $4 donation, you get a home-cooked breakfast with your church family in a spiritually-uplifting environment.

 

WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNERS - invites everyone each Wednesday, 5:45-6:30 p.m. to Drake Hall. For a $6 adult and $3 child donation, you receive food and fellowship before attending the spiritual growth classes.
